Teel Fan School

You don’t need any previous silk fan experience to join! However, if you’re new to learning with Victoria, we recommend the $499 Membership + Intensive option, even if you’ve studied silk fans with other teachers. The Silk Fan Intensive is where you’ll learn Victoria’s techniques and build the foundation for everything else inside the membership.

If you’ve already studied with Victoria in a workshop, private lesson, or online program, you can choose the $447 Membership Only option.

We honestly recommend the Membership + Intensive option for everyone, though, because the structured training and six months of personalized feedback give you so much more support as you develop your dancing.

No. The techniques taught inside the Membership and Intensive work with most standard silk fans. Victoria will use Teel Fans and XLong Teel Fans throughout the video lessons, but you are welcome to use whichever type of fans you prefer. You'll also receive a guide to help you choose the best silk fans for your goals, budget, and dance style.

Yes! The Intensive is designed for both complete beginners and experienced silk fan dancers who are new to Victoria’s Teel Fan techniques and style. If you already dance with silk fans but learned through other teachers or styles, the Intensive will give you the foundation in Victoria’s signature techniques and then move into fluidity, expression, audience connection, and making the fans feel like an extension of your body.

Already experienced with Victoria’s Teel Fan style? If you’ve previously trained with Victoria through online classes, workshops, or private lessons, the Silk Fan Lab is a better next step for continued training and exploration. If you’re experienced with Victoria's fan techniques and specifically interested in the Intensive for the personalized coaching, expression, audience connection, or other advanced elements, reach out to us and we’ll help you decide which option is the best fit.

Inside the Silk Fan Lab membership, all lessons are pre-recorded except for the monthly live Q&As with Victoria. You can join these live or submit your questions ahead of time and watch the recording afterward to hear Victoria's answers.

Throughout 2027, some of the new member courses may also offer a live class option. These opportunities will be announced closer to the relevant month, and whether you attend live or not, you'll have access to the recordings for as long as your membership is active.

Every lesson inside the Silk Fan Intensive is pre-recorded, so you can learn, pause, practice, and revisit the material whenever you need. Your personalized coaching is flexible, too! Instead of scheduling calls, you'll submit weekly movement videos and monthly progress check-ins online for Victoria to personally review. You get the flexibility to train on your own schedule, with opportunities to connect with Victoria and personalized feedback to help you keep improving along the way.

Your coaching is personalized to you and your dancing. Each week that you’re inside the Intensive, you’ll have the opportunity to submit a movement video following the provided instructions. Victoria will personally watch your video and give you individualized feedback on your technique, fluidity, expression, and what to focus on as you continue training.

Once a month, you’ll also complete a deeper progress check-in where you can share how your training is going, what you’re struggling with, and any obstacles getting in your way. Victoria will use this to help guide your next steps and make recommendations specific to your progress.

If you’re working around a past injury, Victoria can also provide personalized movement modifications to help you train safely.

There are no live coaching calls to schedule, so you can receive personal support without having to rearrange your calendar. The weekly video submissions and monthly check ins are completely optional, so you can use these coaching opportunities whenever they fit your training and schedule.

Everyone's body is different. If you're working around a previous injury or physical limitation, Victoria can provide personalized movement modifications and recommendations to help you train safely and confidently.

Your Silk Fan Lab membership, including the featured 2027 course releases, is yours to enjoy through December 31, 2027.

The Silk Fan Intensive is designed as a six-month training program, giving you a structured path to build your technique and receive personalized feedback from Victoria. Your Intensive access lasts six months, with weekly video feedback opportunities and monthly progress check-ins available throughout the program.

Life happens! If an unexpected illness, injury, or family emergency interrupts your training, reach out to us. We understand that circumstances can change, and we’ll work with you on an extension when needed.

The lessons are available through your online student portal and are not downloadable. During your access period, you can watch each lesson as many times as you'd like. The checklists and other resources that are PDFs are downloadable. 

Absolutely! You don't have to be a performer to enjoy the Silk Fan Lab membership and the Silk Fan Intensive. Whether you dance at home, in classes, at haflas, or on stage, the goal is to help you become a more confident, expressive, and unique dancer.

Your Black Friday membership includes a huge library of training, plus all nine featured courses listed on this page for 2027! Occasionally, Victoria also creates specialty courses that focus on a particular technique or topic. These may be offered separately rather than added to the membership, so you can always choose the additional training that interests you.

For example, Secret Hold is normally a standalone specialty technique class, but we're including it FREE with this year's Black Friday offer!

Victoria also teaches a separate weekly beginner-friendly belly dance class focused on general technique and mini choreographies. It's a little different from the silk fan training inside Silk Fan Lab, so it isn't included in the membership, but members receive a special discount if they'd like to join.
